Township Recycling Bins
Recycling bins are open to residents for use at your convenience. The following items can be recycled at Union Township:
- #1 and #2 Plastics
- Magazines
- Newspaper
- Cardboard
- Brown Glass
- Green Glass
- Clear Glass
- Bi-Metal
- Office Paper
- Aluminum Cans*
*Proceeds from aluminum recycling benefit the Fire Company.
Large Items
Large items such as electronics and appliances can be recycled at:
The Hand Up Foundation (HUF)

Clothing Drop Off Center
The St. Pauly’s Clothing Drop Off Center is located across from the Fire Company.
The Fire Company receives a small portion of proceeds from this donation bin based on the weight of what is collected there.
Christmas Trees, Tree Branches and Limbs
The Township provides residents with a drop off site for Christmas trees, tree branches and limbs, which are ground into wood chips.
NO CONTRACTORS
- Wood chips are made available to Township residents ONLY.
- Woodchips will be loaded by the Township onto your truck or trailer.
- No delivery.
Please contact the Township office for a loading schedule.
We are NOT able to dispose of leaves, yard or garden waste or large stumps.
